JISR AL-SHUGHUR: An airstrike early on Sunday over a busy vegetable market in northwestern Syria killed a minimum of 9 individuals, activists and native first responders stated.
Activists and Britain-based opposition conflict monitor the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated that Russia, a prime ally of Syrian President Bashar Assad, launched the strike over the strategic opposition-held city of Jisr al-Shughur close to the Turkish border.
