Footage reveals the Moldovan president’s canine biting the hand of Austria’s President Alexander Van der Bellen.
President Maia Sandu had been strolling with Mr Van der Bellen within the grounds of the presidential residence within the capital Chisinau, when he tried to pet her canine and the etiquette faux-pas occurred.
The canine, a rescue referred to as Codrut, had been frightened by the variety of folks close by, President Sandu mentioned.
President Van der Bellen was later seen with a bandaged hand and posted a video on X, previously Twitter, saying that he was a canine lover.
